Will, 20 Sept 1873 (Herkimer [!] County Deeds, vol. 341, p. 337): In the name of God, Amen. I, William Clifford of the Town of Camden, Oneida County, New York, being of sound mind & memory & considering the uncertainty of this frail and transitory life, do therefore make, ordain, publish & declare this to be my last will and testament. That is to say, I give and bequeath all my right, title and interest and dispose of all the real estate now by me held and in my possession as follows: To my brother, Robert Clifford, all my title and interest in the land known as the East part of Lot no. 71 situate in the Town of Camden, Oneida Co. & State of New York, being the same formerly owned & occupied by Thomas Clifford my father. I also further give & bequeath all my personal property without reserve to my brother, Robert Clifford, with the understanding that said Robert my brother shall and do pay to each of my children, to wit: William Clifford and Elizabeth Ann Clifford, [$25.00] when they each shall become of the age of [21] years. Likewise I make and constitute and appoint my brother Robert to be my sole executor of this my last will & testament, hereby revoking any former will by me made. In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal this 20th day of Sept. 1873. William [his X mark] Clifford L.S. Oneida County Surrogate's Court: ...William Clifford, late of the Town of Camden, in the County of Oneida... died on or about the 20 day of Sept 1873 at the Town of Camden... which was the place of his residence at the time of his death... the deceased left No widow, 2 children under 14, to wit: William Clifford & Elizabeth Ann Clifford, who resides with Cornelius McGee & William resides ... with Ann Clifford, all in Camden.
