William and his family lived on Cherry street on the lower east side of Manhattan. He owned a coffee house on James Street. In 1859, the large family of Brimlows left NYC for Williamsburgh, Bklyn. William lived at 187 South 6th Street and later at 75 Taylor Street where he died in 1873.
