The 1870 census record for his family, Douglas County, page 440, Palmyra Township, Kansas:

Indiana. Mary, age 36, keeping house, born Ohio. Anne, age 17 (married Charles M. Hetherington, later.) born Indiana. David, age 15,, farm laborer, born Indiana. Emma, age 9, (married Reynolds, later) born Kansas. Daniel, age 6, born Kansas. If they had seven children, there are two headstones of children who probably died young, close to William Barricklow's in the cemetery in Baldwin City. Anne and Emma went to California and stayed.
