Stella Bastin was the daughter of Emmet Brockman Bastin and Harriet Alice Kincart. Stella married Clyde Washburn in June of 1936, in Colby, Kansas.

Obituary

Mrs. Pruda Washburn Services Held Tuesday

Funeral services for Mrs. Pruda Bastin Washburn, in charge of Rev. Walter H. Flesher, were held from the Schroeder Funeral Home Thursday afternoon. Internment was in Beulah Cemetary. The obituary following was read at the services.

Pruda Bastin, a daughter of Emmet and Alice Bastin, was born Sept. 20, 1883, at Paola, Kansas, and departed this life Jan. 22, 1951, in the hospital at Colby Kansas. She was 67 years old at the time of her death.

She lived for many years in the Rexford community, having moved there in 1904. She was a member of the Gem Baptist church.

On June 1, 1936, she was united in marriage to Clyde Washburn. In addition to her husband, she leaves to mourn her going two brothers; G.F. Bastin, Rexford and Harvey Bastin, Oberlin; one sister, Bessie Cook, Ottawa, Kansas, and a host of other relatives and many friends.
