March 1, 1901 From Freds father, Beatrice, NE.

My grandfather's name was Truman and my father's name was John. He had 4 brothers, Truman, Marshall, Norman and Azel; Teo half brothers: Porter and Emery. Grandfather Austin lived at White's Corners. All of his family was raised there. Father had a brother by the name of Hiram, I was named after him. My father died 55 years ago at White's Corners. Truman went to California. Marshall lives in Buffalo. Norman lives in Chicago at Englewood. and Emery, Father's half brother lives in Kansas City, MO. Father had two sisters, Juliette and Mary, Mary married a man by the name of Joel Smith at White's Corners and Juliette married a man by the name of Siphis Fenton, last I knew of her she was in Cincinnati, Ohio.

From Fred Austin: The writer of the above letter is my father Hiram Austin 1343 Market St. Beatrice, Neb. My brother C.E. Austin University Place, Lincoln, Neb. wrote the following: Marshall Austin lives at 40 Ketchem Place, Buffalo, NY. Take a green car, get off at Jersey St. go one block East and one and a half blocks North and find the number 40 on the West side of the Street. White house. Norman Austin lives at 6441 Butler St. Englewood, Chicago. Emery Austin lives at 2427 McCoy Ave, Kansas City, Kansas. Porter Austin, his brother lived in Kansas City and St. Louis, Mo. last heard from was Cattanooga or Atlanta, Ga. Hiram Austin, Father's uncle is not living. His son was living at Waukegan, Ill in 1897. Have forgotton his given name. Watch for a fellow by the name of Hadley Austin. Brother C.E. Austin says that his whereabouts is badly wanted. Emery knows if he would tell.
