Pattison, aged 86, of RD 2 died at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, M/M PM Pattison, at 6 Knox Avenue on Saturday, Feb 19, at 3:45 PM following a ten weeks illness. Born July 19, 1868 in Lawrence Co, he was the son of Robert D and Margaret McCreary Pattison. He had resided his lifetime in the community and was preceded in death by his wife Lillian E. Dygert Pattison in May 1936. Mr. Pattison, a machinist for the Penn Engineering Corp, retiring 6 years ago, was a member of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of this city and the Men’s Bible Class of the church. He served as elder in the church for many years. Surviving are his son PM Pattison, this city, one brother R. Herbert Pattison, and one sister, Mrs. Nannie Shelenberger, both of this city. In addition to his wife, a sister, Mrs. Adelia Wilson, and a brother John D. Pattison, preceded him in death. Services will be held Tuesday at 2:30 PM from the Boyd-Myers Home for Funerals, 203 North Jefferson St with his pastor Rev Harold Harrington in charged, assisted by Rev Thomas Cross. Burial will follow in Oak Park Cemetery. The family will meet friends at the funeral home today from 2-4 and 7-9. A second obit which is undated from an unknown newspaper has basically the same information. He was known as “Tommie” to many of his friends.
