Paul M. Pattison, 78, of 6 Knox Ave. died at 3:40 p.m. yesterday in Jameson Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

He was born in New Castle Sept. 15, 1895 to the late Thomas M. Pattison and Lillian Dygert Pattison. He was formerly employed by the Pennsylvania Corp and retired from the assessor's office of Lawrence County.

Mr. Pattison was a member of First United Methodist Church. He was an Army veteran of World War I. He was a member of Lodge of the Craft 433, F. and AM; the Consistroy Legion of Honor; Lawrence Caravan 15, Syria Temple Shrine of Pittsburgh; the Tall Cedars of Lebanon, and Perry S. Gaston Post 343, American Legion.

He was married to the former Maria Ailey, who died Feb. 11, 1965. His only surviviors are a number of cousins.

Friends will be received at the Robert A. Myers Home for Funerals, 208 N. Jefferson St. from 7 to 9 p.m. today. A service will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Russell Perry of the church. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery.
