Acquisition of Land from Chalkley's:
- Page 287.--15th May, 1775. John, James and William Gillespy to Thomas McCollock, £5, 80 acres in Beverley Manor, part of 3 tracts conveyed to James Gillespy, deceased--A, 210 acres from Wm. Beverley, 27th February, 1749; B, 208 acres; C, 200 acres, all adjoining the 80 acres bounded; John Williams' corner, land formerly Charles Dalhouse's; corner James and William Gillespie; corner John Gillespie. (Note: from the description listed in this record, the 80-acre tract acquired by Thomas McCullough appears to be on the border of the tract originally patented to Charles Dalhouse, which was acquired by John McCullough (Thomas' father) from John Finley).

- Oliver Hazard Perry McCullough (1813-1870) Chester county, SC
- Samuel McCullough (1772-1830) Chester county, SC
- ?Thomas McCullough (1743-1780) Augusta county, VA
- ?John McCullough (1710-1799) County Antrim, Ireland
- ?James McCullough () County Antrim, Ireland

I have two Thomases in that time period:
(1) Thomas McCullough; child of John McCullough and Mary ???; b. 08/14/1743 Augusta county VA; d. 1780 Chester county SC; married Elizabeth Neely, Rebecca ???, Dorrety ???
(2) Thomas McCullough; child of Samuel McCullough and Sarah Strait; b.09/17/1796 Chester county SC; d. 09/06/1827 Chester county SC; buried in Fishing Creek Presbyterian Church, York county SC (burial place of many McCulloughs in this time period);
Note that the 2nd Thomas is the grandson of the 1st Thomas.
