BIOGRAPHY: Jane Knight Stuart, Newark, Wayne County, New York, (1935) gives the following story of Thomas.

Azariah Lyman drove a covered wagon from Norwich, Mass to Chester, Ohio about 1826, in company with others, among whom was the above Thomas Knight. Their families were neighbors in the East and Thomas named one of his sons after Mr. Lyman.

Thomas took up land in Chester and ran a sawmill, built a house and drove back to Cummington, Mass; (next town to Norwich) was married and took his bride back to the house he had built in Chester, Ohio. Geauga County. They moved to Cleveland, Ohio., later and Thomas was in the Lumber Business.
