Dix, Thomas - entered service 1776 in Virginia; born 1/1755; died 7/17/1824; married 1/11/1781 to Sarah Edmondson, who was born 11/13/1751; son Thomas Edmondson born 10/14/1781; Last Will and Testament of soldier's widow probated 11/17/1840 when no children were living but listed 2 grandchildren 7 1 great grandchild, who was daughter of another grandchild.    According to his Revolutionary Way pension file, Thomas Dix enlisted in 1776 in Virginia. He was born January 1755 and died 17 July 1824 [but see Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 19, page 408, which suggests he died earlier]. He married on 11 January 1781 Sarah Edmondson, who was born 13 November 1751. Their son Thomas Edmondson was born 14 October 1781. The last will and testament of Sarah was probated 17 November 1840 when no children were living but listed 2 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. [Patrick G.
