Will of Thomas Chew, Christian County, KY
New York, September 30th 1846
I Thomas Chew former of Virginia now on a visit to New York and in New York being in perfect mind and memory do make this my last will and revoking all other wills and whatsoever of former dates. It is my will and desire that all my Just debts be fully paid as I have no debts to my Knowledge.
Item I give to my Sister Caroline M. Stanard all the money that I have advanced her for ___ discharge of her land in Culpeper County, Virginia as fee Simple and I give to Lornsea? Shemouskas? two daughters the sum of two hundred & fifty dollars to each of them as I do not know their names & also give Caroline Morcellen wife of Doctor Mercellen the sum of five Hundred dollars for her attention to me in Siclenys? when in New York also.
I give to my Sister Caroline M. Stanard all the funds that I possess which is in Mr. Silas Woods hands.
I have called no witnesses to Sign this as I have writen it with my own hand and delivered it for safe Keeping to whom will act and distribute the funds as directed or advised whereof I have hereunto set my hand, name & seal this 30th day of September 1846.
