5. John Chew, m. 1772, Anna Fox (d. 1821) John Chew was lieutenant, 1780, in Capt. John Holiday's company. In 1789, was placed on the invalid pension roll of Virginia, but, in 1814, his record was among those destroyed by fire in the War Department. He was born in Fredericksburg, Va., and in 1799, died there.
