About Thomas Bleakley

Thomas Bleakley/Blakely appears to have likely been married twice; first to Elizabeth Lewis, daughter of Sgt. Anthony Lewis of Augusta and Rockingham County, Virginia, who died in 1779, in a triple wedding ceremony with Elizabeth's two sisters on 25 January 1798 in Augusta County, Virginia. Based upon U.S. Census records, it does not appear that any children were born in this first marriage. Thomas Bleakley was married second to Elizabeth "Betsy" McFall on 28 Nov 1805 in Augusta County, Virginia. Census records show there were three sons and four daughters born in this second marriage.
