Since there do not appear to be any records of Thomas acquiring land in Beverley Manor, but he is listed alongside James on the "Muster List", it is probable that he was living on one of James Bell's patents in Beverley Manor.

From "Sir Robert Bell and his early Virginia Colony Descendants", by James Elton Bell, Frances Jean Bell, pg. 48:

5.24.29: Thomas Bell born North Ireland came to Virginia before 1741. He was living in Beverley Manor of Augusta County, and one of the citizens to organize the first meeting to establish a Presbyterian Church to be known as Tinkling Spring. The first recorded action of this group was dated August ye 14th 1741, with Rev. John Craig as the minister. Thomas had married Catherine Wilson, the daughter of Robert Wilson, who is believed to have been a minister in North Ireland. Robert Wilson left the very first will to be recorded in Augusta County, 1745. In the will he bequeaths to daughter Catherine, wife of Thomas Bell, and daughter Jennett Holmes, wife of John Holmes. According to Lyman Chalkley's "Chronicles of the Settlement in Virginia", the three families crossed the ocean in the same vessel.
