He lived in 18 Braithwaite street. Thomas Barrett married Mary Synnott on 30th April 1893, they were both under 21 at the time, and there addresses at the time of their marriage, he lived at 2 summer street, and she lived at 1 summer street. Both their fathers were dead at the time of their marriage. On the registry entry Thomas did not sign his name, he placed a mark on the page which was witnessed by the priest. At the time he worked as a laborer. From the Census returns of April 1901, He was aged 27, and married to Mary at that time. They had 2 children Sarah aged 6 and Joseph aged 1. Thomas was listed as a distillery laborer in the census return. Also staying in Braithwaite Street at the time of the census was a Stephen Barrett listed as a boarder and a distillery laborer from Mayo County. In the 1901 census the family shared 18 Braithwaite street with four other families, they are listed as having 2 rooms in the house ,and there were 5 people living there Have found an entry in the 1911 census in the NAI which lists the family still living there. They now share the house (tenement) with two other families and the then had 3 rooms and 3 people living there. As in the 10 years between the census their daughter Sarah had died (1908). Also listed in the 1911 census is the years they had been married at the time, which is 18, which puts their marriage circa 1893. Also at that time they had 5 children but only one had survived. He Died in 1951 at age 77, at the time he was listed as being married and an old age pensioner was his occupation. His address at that time was still 18 Braithwaite Street. He is Buried in Glasnevin Cemetery in the garden section there is no headstone, but the plot number is LG 143 1/2 Note from Sean Barrett:He was rich man, owned houses, wasted all his money and died a pauper.
