Ratleff, John Elswick, Jonathan Elswick, Blackburn Eakers, Thomas Alley, Jacob and Isrel Lorton, Edmond Vancel, Richard Whitt, Robert Lyon, and "Long James Skaggs". After the formation of Fincastle in 1773, the land of many of these families fell into that county.
