    In a list of births:
'1669 Feb. 20 Thomas Allen. [parents:] Daniel and Mary.'

While Nourse says (p. 313) that his list is arranged chronologically, he appears to have placed Jan. 1 to Mar. 25 births at the beginning of each year instead of the end of each year, as they would have been at that time, resulting in dates not being in the correct chronological order. Thus, this source implies (from the relative order) that Thomas was born Feb. 1668/69, which is likely not true, based on the list published in NEHGR.

'Thomas, sonne of Daniel & Mary Allin borne Feb. 20. 1669'

This list appears to be more-or-less in chronological order, with the births of older children in the same family being inserted at the time of the birth of a younger child (presumably the first child of the family to be born in Lancaster). The record for Thomas Allen occurs after one dated Dec. 1669, suggesting that Thomas was born Feb. 1669/70.
