The daughter of James Halstead and Elizabeth (Teed/Tidd/Tid), she and Richard were married in Clifton Park on 4 Sep 1791. They were the parents of: Elizabeth, wife of Joshua Adee; Daniel, who married Elizabeth Jerome; William, now married Charlotte Johnson; Richard, who married Mary "Polly" Wilcox and removed to what became Petersburg in Monroe Co., MI; James, who married Susan Squires; John, who married Jane Blakely; Susan, wife of Isaac Squires; Sarah, wife of John D. Blakely; and Jerusha, wife of Moses Tallman.

Susannah died very suddenly while seated at the breakfast table. She had seemed in her usual good health and spirits.
