Torrey, and the Heydon Family genealogy, call her "Susanna". Waterfield's Hayden Family Group Sheets show her as Susanna Dullen, daughter of Edward Dullen, and cites the Braintree record. Sprague, however, says she was probably Susanna Lyon of Dorchester.

Susanna died between July 1682, when she proved her husband's estate, and 3 October 1684, when her sons John & Jonathan were made administrators. Waterfield gives the date as 9 February 1684.

(John Hayden married) by about 1634 Susanna -----, who was named in his will, and had been his "faithful companion for many years"; there is no indication of any earlier wife, and she was very likely the mother of all his children. Since John Hayden was in Dorchester by 1632, and the eldest child was probably born about 1634, the marriage most likely took place in Dorchester. She diec by 3 October 1684 [SPR 6:483].
