1848-1849 - Emigrated from Liverpool to Adelaide with her father.

1878 - Sophia was appointed assistant at Kilmore Post office on February 1st 1878 until "dispensed with" on the following May 20th. Salary £30 a year. File marked 'resigned'. This period coincides with the time leading up to her husband's suspension on May 23rd and transfer, July 16th, to Melbourne. Apparently Sophia also was known to have had trouble with her customers at Kilmore just as her husband had done.

1895 - Residing at Ross St, Northcote, Victoria.

1896 - Residing at Cunningham St, Northcote, Victoria.

1907 - Residing at 600 High St, Northcote, Victoria.

1913 - Cause of death was given as Hemiplegia, Heart Failure (13 days).
