On 27 Jan 1778 John Turbyfill, James Dugger and Sarah Dugger witnessed the Will of Mary Dugger (James' grandmother). (Brunswick Co., VA Will Book 2 page 22). In Aug 1783 court, Sarah Dugger and John Dugger were granted administration of the estate of James Dugger, deceased. Joseph Browder and Ephraim Jackson were securities (bondsmen). (Brunswick Co., VA Order Book 8 page 241). In Nov 1783 court, Sarah Dugger and John Dugger, administrators of James Dugger, deceased, sued Benjamin Hall and Hinchia Mabry for debt. (Brunswick Co., VA Order Book 8 page 286). Sarah Dugger was listed on the 1784 tax list in Brunswick with 0 persons, 2 tithes. In Jul 1784 court, Berry and Berry sued John Dugger, Surry, Sarah Dugger and John Dugger, administrators of estate of James Dugger, deceased, for debt. (Brunswick Co., VA Order Book 8 page 480). In Apr 1785 court, Thomas Lundie sued William Fortiscue and Sarah Dugger and John Dugger, administrators of James dugger, deceased. (Brunswick Co., VA Order Book 14 page 111). On 24 Jan 1785 Henry Rawlings obtained a marriage bond in Brunswick Co., VA to marry Sarah Dugger. Thomas Stith was bondsman. Sarah may have died ca 1796/1797 for around that time the lands of James Dugger, deceased were divided. |
