Listed in the 1850 Polk County, Texas Census as Sarah McKinney, age 10, born Texas.

Some sources say Sarah Ann McKim married Asa Hickman, son of James Pierce, son of Theophilus Dee. Wasn't sure which Sarah and which Asa, as there are several within each family, but I believe this is the correct Sarah Ann.

Listed in the 1860 Polk County, Texas, Halifax P.O. Census. Census conducted July 20, 1860. Dwelling 190, household 204. Asa Hickman, age 24, Waggoner, born Louisiana; Sarah Ann, age 20, born Texas; James, age 8, born Texas; Francis (female), age 1, born Texas. They are living next to James and Francis Hickman. Is James Asa's son by a previous marriage?
