Sarah Marshall was baptised on 2nd April 1725 at Luton in Bedfordshire, daughter of Joseph or Josiah Marshall and his wife Sarah. She appears to have died young, being buried on 30th July 1728, aged just three years old.

    There is a discrepancy as to Sarah's father's name. The rough copy version of the Parish Register and the Bishop's Transcript both give her father's name as Josiah, but the fair copy of the Parish Register gives her father's name as Joseph.
