Sarah Everitt was baptised on 25th October 1764 at Hitchin in Hertfordshire, daughter of Elizabeth Everitt, formerly Lucas, and her husband George Everitt, a labourer. When Sarah was only two years old, her mother died. Her father married again later in 1767, with a Mary Cannon becoming Sarah's stepmother.

Sarah died when she was only sixteen years old, being buried at Hitchin on 29th March 1781.
