Elizabeth Lucas's origins have yet to be established. Her first confirmed sighting is on 8th July 1764 when she married a labourer named George Everitt at Hitchin in Hertfordshire. Three months later they had a daughter named Sarah baptised at Hitchin. She was followed in 1766 by a daughter named Ann.

Tragically, Elizabeth died just a few months after giving birth to Ann. Elizabeth was buried at Hitchin on 12th January 1767 - and baby Ann died a couple of weeks later.

George remarried a few months after Elizabeth's death.
