    "Samuel3 Hitchcock (Eliakim2, Matthias1) son of Eliakim and Sarah (Merrick) Hitchcock, born in East Haven, Conn., Mar. 7, 1678, married in Springfield, Mass., May 13, 1715, Mehitable, dau. of Isaac and Sarah (Boltwood) Warner of Deerfield, Mass. He died in East Haven in 1732. His estate was administered on May 1, 1732, and at a court of probate held that day 'Deacon Joshua Austin was appointed by the court guardian to Thomas and Samuel, two minor sons of Samuel Hitchcock, late of New Haven, deceased.'"
