(5.) Samuel Cupp, b. in Botetourt or Montgomery abt. 1815. Samuel died in
Augusta County prior to the suit to divide Jacob's land. He was probably the
Samuel Cupp living in his Uncle & Aunt Daniel & Susannah (Cupp) Whitmore's
household in the 1850 census. Samuel was unmarried and left no heirs. His one-
tenth share of the purchase money from Jacob's land sale was to be divided
among his siblings.
