Mrs. Halloran did not regain consciousness to speak before she passed away, and the suddenness of her death has completely prostrated her husband and family. Besides her husband, who is employed with the Homestake company, she leaves her mother, Mrs. John Scanlon, three brothers, Dan, Gene and Hughie of this city, and two sisters, Kate and Annie, who are in Denver and have been wired to and for whose answer funeral arrangements are pending. Lead Daily Call, October 19, 1915 - "Funeral of Mrs. Halloran. Services at St. Patrick's This Morning Conducted Over Remains. The last rites over the remains of the late Mrs. Will Halloran were conducted in St. Patrick's church this morning. A requiem mass was sung by Rev. T.J. McCarthy, who also gave a sermon on death and the significance of a sudden taking away, and the preparation that should be made for such; should death knock at our own door. Father McCarthy paid a worthy tribute to the deceased, her forbearance of suffering and her many kind deeds in life. Flowers were everywhere in evidence, testifying to the esteem in which Mrs. Halloran was held, and many friends rode to the cemetery in south Lead where interment was made."
