THE THAYER FAMILY OF THORNBURY by Thomas Thayer Ojeda, 1907:
(III) Richardus (Richard) Tawier or Tayer, son of Johanes (2) Tawier,
- married (first) (???) (Gibbs?) Tawier; she d. November 10, 1590.
- He married (second) (???) (Dimery?) Tawier.
- NOTE: Neither of these marriages is recorded in the Thornbury church registers as cited in NEHGR 60:287. (The first marriage for a Richard Thayer there is in 1624, but there is a gap in marriages during the critical time period-- at least as transcribed in NEHGR.)
He was living in 1625. Children by first wife:
- Catherine, b. June 24, 1586;
- Alice, October 23, 1587;
- Margaret, December 23, 1589;
- Ann, November 10, 1590, d. same day.
Children of Second wife:
- Joane, b. January, 1592-93;
- John, April 17, 1593;
- Mary, March 1, 1595-96;
- Thomas, mentioned below [in the publication];
- Wilfry, January 1, 1599-1600;
- Richard, April 5, 1601 [likely he who marries in 1624 to Dorothy Mortimer];
