Common Pleas Minutes for Years Nover Term 1835 to April Term 1837 page 424 (April Term 1837) "Satisfactory evidence was this day produced in open Court that Richard Taliaferro was a revolutinary pensioner of the United States that he resided in Clermont County in the State of Ohio next before his death, that he died in said County on the second day of January A.D. 1837 that he left no widow and left Jones Taliaferro, Zachariah Taliaferro, Matilda Parks, Sarah Ewing, Elizabeth McClelland, Jefferson Taliaferro, Riddle Taliaferro, Rebecca Scarlatt, Lucy Peak and Emily Hammes his children.
