OBITUARY (Oswego Palladium-Times May 12, 1941) Richard Cavanaugh Richard Cavanaugh, retired painter and decorator, died Sunday(May 11, 1941) at the family home, 106 East Seventh street, following a brief illness. Mr. Cavanaugh was a native of Canada and had lived most of his life in Oswego where he had a wide acquaintance. He was held in the highest regard and in his business relations was reliable and trusworthy. Mr. Cavanaugh retired about five years ago. He was a communicant of St. Paul's church. Surviving besides his widow, Mrs. Edith Cavanaugh are two sons, Edward Cavanaugh of California and Richard Cavanaugh, Oswego; one sister, Miss Mary Cavanaugh and two brothers, Patrick Cavanaugh and William Cavanaugh, Oswego. Funeral Tuesday morning at the family home at 10 o'clock and in St. Paul's church at 10:30. Internment in St. Paul's cemetery. References
