From "Memoranda For Colonel J. F. H. Claiborne, Relative To The Late Governor David Holmes Of Mississippi, His Lineage:

Mrs. Rebecca Conrad, married to Dr. Daniel Conrad, of Winchester, who died in 1806. My mother the favored and favorite sister of the Governor (see his will), died at the close of the same year that he died, 1832. It is not for me to speak of her— "her works do follow her;" "her children" still live to "rise up and call her blessed."
