Excerpt From a file, from Irene Knight Armitage January 14, 1935

None of the other Knight families had a Phineas born about 1755 and it would seem that Phineas Jr, would be the son of the other Phineas who bought a woolen mill in 1776 and ran it all thru the Revolutionary War and for years after. All clothing mills had to be run to full capicity as in our late war.
