BIRTH: MARRIAGE: CENSUS: DEATH: BURIAL: On the 1851 census for Brant county, Peter is recorded as a 10 year old. Also recorded are Peter's siblings and parents. The farm was located at St. George.

To date he has not been located for the 1861 census.  Peter was the first member of the family in our direct line to spell his name Wilson.  Peter and Mary and their family are shown on the census of 1871, 1881, and 1891 in North Dumfries twp., Waterloo county, Ontario (Ayr).  On the 1901 census Peter and Mary are shown living in Paris, Ontario with their son George, two houses away from their son Malcolm and his wife Mary (McDonald) and their children. 

Note: on the 1871 census Peter and Mary have 5 sons, including Curtis, age 2 years. On the 1881 census Curtis is not listed. It is not known if this was an error or if Curtis died at a young age. Peter died at the age of 75 years in Galt, Ontario. He was visiting at his son's home and had just returned for the evening when he was overcome. He died before medical help could be summoned. He had attended the fair during the day, where he was an exhibitor and had been feeling in very good health. The cause of death was heart failure and was reported to be instantaneous.
