    Henkenius Dies
    Veteran Candy Maker Succumbs at Home of Niece
    Peter Henkenius, 75, veteran candy maker, died yesterday at the home of his niece, Mrs. Cecilia Galland on the Nelson road on Fort Wayne R. F. D. 7, where he has made his home for the last two years. Death was due to cancer of the liver.
    Surviving are the widow, Mrs. May Henkenius and a sister, Mrs. Tene Decker and several neices and nephews.
    The deceased was one of the oldest candy makers in Fort Wayne and was a charter member of the St. Joe Athletic club and the Acqueduct club and also belonged to the Kreis Stolzenau lodge. He made his home at Rome City many years.
    Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 8:30 o'clock at the residence and at 9 o'clock at St. Andrews Catholic church with Rev. Henry A Hoerstman officiating.
