    "4. Peter3 Harris (Gabriel2, Walter1), born in New London on 8 December 1660, died there 'with ye dropsie about 3. Clock' on 25 January 1718[/9], aged 58. … Although Peter Harris's 'wife' was listed as a member of the church at New London on 15 October 1693, his own name does not appear on the list until 1 January 169[3/]4. The will of Peter Harris of New London, dated 19 January 1718/9, names wife Elizabeth and the five sons and five daughters listed below, and mentions land at Mansfield, Connecticut. David Culver, Nicholas Darrow, and John Plumb witnessed. … On 13 December 1720, Martha Harris, daughter of Peter, chose William Rogers as guardian, Stephen Harris, son of Peter, chose Capt. James Rogers as guardian, and Thomas Harris was appointed guardian to his brother Joseph."
