    "156:152. The comment that Elizabeth Abbott (wife of Gabriel2 Harris) was 'probably a daughter of Robert and Mary Abbott' is withdrawn for failure of support. A compelling point against it is that in 1659 John Robins of Branford, who had married Robert Abbott's widow Mary, bound himself to pay to the Abbott children 'portions appointed by the court' from their father's estate. The children named in that record, or who later gave receipts for their portions, do not include a daughter Elizabeth.
