    From Rhode Island Peter [Crandall] emigrated to the Patroon Van Rensselaer's Manor on the Hudson, afterward the seat of the "Anti-Rent" war, where he developed a fine farm from the forest, and either selling out or not obtaining title came in 1818 to Amity where he died in 1838.
