Coffey, Osbourn - entered service 1776 in Amherst County, virginia; born 7/29/1759; moved in 1797 to Kentucky where granted Pension in 1830 when resided on Green River, Casey County; still resided there in 1834; died 3/31/1840; married 2/18/1783 to Mary/Polly, daughter of Mathew Nightingale, Amherst County, Virginia; Marriage Bond signed by Mathew & Lucy Nightingale; widow granted Pension age 83 in Casey County, Kentucky in 1844; in 1830 soldier & wife resided with daughter Lucy; son Mathew died before 1830; endest child Jesse born 5/26/1784, & resided 1833 P.O. Liberty, Casey County, Kentucky, referred to in 1834 as Col. Jesse Coffey, was State Senator, & his residence 1849 in Middlebury, Kentucky; soldier also known as Osburn Coffee. R594.
