Obituary with picture RUSSELL HOSLER

 On Friday, January 8, 1999, at the Portage District General Hospital, Russell Hosler, companion of Mary Howard, passed away at the age of 68 years.
 Russ was born on July 31, 1930, son of Charles and Elizabeth Hosler at Russell.  He joined the Army reserve and after the was her (sic) was employed at many construction sites throughout western Canada.
 Russ was a member of the A.N. & A.F. Veterans Association of Canada Unit #13 and a long time member of the Portage Hotel BS Club.  He enjoyed the great outdoors and liked to fish, bird watch and working in his garden.
 Predeceased by his parents, daughter Deborah, granddaughter Natasha, great grandson Justice, two brothers Ivan and Tommy, Russ will be sadly missed by his love and special friend Mary Howard; mother of his children Jean; daughters: Darlene (Tom) Huddelstone of Winnipeg; June Hosler of Portage; Bev Grisdale of Williams Lake; grandchildren: Sheri and husband Mike, Terry, Nichole, Jeff;  great grandchildren Stephen and Tazmin; extended grandchildren Gavin, Jean, Jesse and Kelsey Aberdeen.  Also surviving are brothers: Jim and Edith of Austin; Earl of Alberta; Wes and Dallas of Winnipeg; sisters: Rosaline McLean of Abbotsford, British Columbia; Marion Allinson of Winnipeg; Helen and Forest Hall of Kilarney, Manitoba, many nieces and nephews and his extend family Joel and Debbing Aberdeen, Irene Aberdeen and Roy Paterson.
 Cremation has taken place.  A private family service will be held at a later date.
 Should friends so desire memorial donations may be made to the Central Plains Cancer Care Services,c/o Portage District General Hospital Foundation, 524 Fifth Street SE, Portage la Prairie, Manitoba R1N3A8.
