OLIVER DIPBOYE DIES SUDDENLY NEAR ELWOOD- Elwood, Dec. 29.- Oliver Dipboye, age 62, residing at 1314 south Anderson street, dropped dead following a heart attack at 9 a.m. today at the home of Amos Brattain at Red Corner, one mile east of Elwood. Coroner Milton York, who investigated, pronounced death due to a heart attack. The body was brought to the Copher and Fesler funeral home. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.

Mr. Dipboye, a regular employee of the Continental Can Company, had gone to help with butchering and had been there but a short time when stricken. Surviving are four daughters, Miss Ruth Dipboye of Iowa City, Ia; Miss Dorothy Dipboye of Logansport; Mrs. Hilda Samuels of Gary; Mrs. Helen Mays of Indianapolis; two grandchildren; a brother Jonathan of Detroit and a sister Mrs. Nila Tamus of Fort Wayne.

He was born on a farm north of Elwood in 1881, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Dipboye. He was married to Blanche Nolan who died in 1941.

OLIVER DIPBOYE DIES SUDDENLY-

Oliver Dipboye, 62, suddenly dropped dead of a heart attack at 8:30 this morning at the home of Amos Bratton, at Red Corner. Mr. Dipboye had taken some hogs there for butchering, when the attack occured. Madison County Coroner Milton York, stated that death was due to a coronary heart disease. Mr. Dipboye was an employee of the Continental can Corporation in this city. The son of Joseph and Elizabeth Dipboye, he was born of Elwood on Jan. 16, 1881. He was united in marriage to Blanche Nolan, who preceded him in death on may 25, 1941.

Surviving are four daughters: Miss Ruth Dipboye of Iowa City, Iowa; Miss Dorothy Dipboye of Logansport; Mrs. Hilda Samuels of Gary and Mrs. Helen Mays of Indianapolis. One brother, Jonathan Dipboye of Detroit and one sister, Mrs. Nila Pantus of Fort Wayne, also survive. There are two grand-children. The body was removed to the Copher and Fesler funeral home where it will remain pending completion of funeral arrangements. -BUY WAR BONDS- Elwood Call Leader, 29 Dec. 1943
