Nicholas Shultz 87, former Tiffin Police captain died at 12:30 am today s ep 5, 1958 in St. Francis Home. He had been cared for there since Augu st 4, Prior to that he had lived at 46 W Perry street. Mr Shultz was a mem ber of the police department here 40 years ago and held the rank of capta in when he left the department in the early 1920's. Born at Hopewell Cent er June 1, 1871 MrShultz was a son of Peter and Regina (Mann) Shultz. He w as married twice, first on jun 2, 1896 to Anna Kuhn who died Aug 14, 191 0. His second marriage was on Feb8, 1922 to Catherine McKelvey who di ed in November 1957. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs Irene Herig, Mrs c harles Mcclead, and Miss Hilda Shultz all of Tiffin; a son Eugene of Miam i, Fla...are deceased. Mr Shultz was a member of St. Josesph's church a nd ...burial in parish cemetery.
