    MRS. ASHTON DIES AT HOME: Death of Venedocia Resident Occurs Early Saturday - Husband and Six Children Survive - Funeral Arrangements Incomplete. Mrs. Nellie Ashton of Venedocia, died at 7:00 a.m. Saturday at her residence, of complications. She had been ill the past three years and seriously ill seven weeks. She was born October 24, 1876 in Greene County, Ohio, the daughter of Jonas and Mary Elizabeth Seslar. At the time of her death, she was 74 years and 5 months of age. A [resident] of Venedocia the past twenty-two years, she was married on February 24, 1895, to Charles Ashton, at Cecil, [Paulding County] Ohio. Mr. Ashton still survives, as do six children, Mrs. Fern Ulrich and Robert Ashton, Ft. Wayne; Ray and Floyd Ashton and Mrs. Pauline Patterson, Indianapolis; Paul Ashton, Venedocia, 15 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Elmer Coil, Spencerville, and two brothers, Clois and Frank Seslar, Antwerp, Ohio. Three children preceded her in death. She was a member of the Venedocia Presbyterian church and of the Circle C Class of the church. Funeral arrangements in charge of the Harter and Son funeral home are incomplete. The body will be removed from the funeral home to the family residence Saturday evening, where friends may call.
