Elizabeth wid. of that Samuel Wakeman, k. at New Providence 1641, and I judge that it was in that yr. for in June of the next, he is with w. defend. in one suit, and plt. in ano. and in 1645, the Ct. gave all the prop. of Wakeman to him, charg. to pay the s. on reach. 21 yrs. £40. and ea. of the three ds. £20. at 18 yrs. By a sec. w. Eleanor [Sarah (see the Jeremy Adams sketch in TGMB 1:10)], d. of Jeremy Adams, he had Rebecca who m. 1690, Thomas Rumney [error for Ranney] of Middletown; Abigail, m. John Bishop of New Haven; Sarah, m. Zachary Sandford of Hartford; and Hannah, m. 1697, Baysey Baker of Hartford; and he d. 4 Jan. 1698, by his will giv. est. of good amt. to his w. [Eleanor, daughter of Richard Watts and widow of Nathaniel Brown and Jasper Clements (see Families of Early Hartford, Connecticut 681)] and four ds.

    Nathaniel Willett died Jan 4, 1698 ae 80 bur Center Ch mar/1 bef Jan 1645 Elizabeth (-----) Wakeman widow of Samuel Wakeman. Mar/2 Hannah [error for Sarah] Adams dau of Jeremy Adams, Mar/3 Ellinor (Watts) Browne-Clements widow of Joseph Clements son of Joseph and Nathaniel Browne. She died Sept 28, 1703 dau of Richard Watts and Elizabeth. Children: Rebecca m/1 Thomas Ranney m/2 Jacob White Abigail m John Bishop of New Haven Sarah m Zachary Sandford Hannah m/1 Baysey Baker Apl 1, 1697 (HTR) m/2 Joseph Webster. The estate of Wakeman was settled on him Dec 4, 1645 on condition that he pay £40 to the son when he reached the age of 21, and £20 to each of the daughters at the age of 18. Hfd 1642; constable 1645, 1659; townsman 1654-66-70-75-73-82.

    Court Record (Vol. V) Page 29 — 21 April, 1691 : Nathaniel Willett, being aged and having lost Jeremy Addams his books and Accounts when his House was burnt. This Court desire and appoint Capt. Jonathan Bull to be Adms. with sayd Nathaniel Willett to the sayd Estate of Jeremy Addams, who are appointed to Issue so far as they are capable as soon as may be and to make Return to this Court.
