"… Eleanor Watts … She married (2) in or after 1660 Jasper Clements and (3) by an unknown date Nathaniel Willett [Moore Anc 158, and sources cited there]. She died at Middletown 28 September 1703 (as 'Ellenor abovesaid the wife of Mr. Nathan[ie]ll Briwb' [MidLR 1:28])."
"There is no doubt that Eleanor (Watts) Browne married twice after her first husband's death, yet the Middletown vital records show that Eleanor, wife of Nathaniel Browne, died on September 28, 1703. The original vital records are grouped in families, not entry by entry as the events occur, and possibly this method accounts for the use of the surname Browne in this case."
