Acquisition of Land in Virginia
- 2 Jul 1764 Alexander Reid, to Nathan Reid 50 pounds for 400 acres on a branch of Rockfish. Lines: Col. Chiswell, James Woods, side of a mountain, formerly granted and “conveyed” from Samuel Mann, executor of Thomas Mann to John Reid by deed of date, 25 Feb 1760, and since death of John Reid descended to Alexander Reid as eldest son and heir at law…hath bargained and sold unto his brother, Nathan Reid.
