Nancy League was born ca 1770; died early Mar 1881 at her home on theChoestoe, Oconee County, SC - age 111 years. Note: We have noted Nancy's maiden name spelled slightly different in various published and unpublished records--ie: League, Leugise, Leugese, Liegin, etc. In the Charles Bruce Janes (p. 108) Family Bible, however, Nancy's maiden name is definitely spelled League; plus, other "family traditions" collected always list her maiden name as League; which we believe to be correct.
