The ancestry of Nancy James is not known although others of her family probably settled in Perry County, Alabama where there are James descendents to this day.A short history of the United Methodist Church on Water St. in Uniontown records that early families associated with the church (organized in 1843) were Fluker, Walker, and James. ( Nancy James Walker's granddaughter, Nancy Southall,married Lewis Fluker in 1864.)
