From Patricia Prickett Hickin: "After her husband’s death Nancy moved with the younger children to Carbondale, Illinois, where public school facilities for the children were far superior to those in Blue Sulphur Springs. By the late 1870s, she had moved to Marion, Smyth Co., VA, where her brother Minter Jackson (1824-1907) lived with his second wife, Isabella Holt Beatie (1830-1880). Nancy died in Marion, VA, five years after her husband, on 15 Sep 1879."
