From Bill White, Jane Lew: After his father died, when James William was a very young man, he helped his mother carry on the business and later became the owner of Jackson's Store which carried and handled all kinds and types of merchandise. It served the town of Jane Lew and the surrounding area. He was known as a good business man who was kind and well mannered.
